The College of Business invites applicants to apply for the position of Instructor or Senior Instructor of Accounting starting in August 2024. This is a 9-month, non-tenure track, full-time position on the Accounting Finance, and Business Law team. This position will primarily teach classes in introductory financial and managerial accounting. Other classes may be assigned as needed. Classes may be in-person, online, or hybrid.
This academic year (9-month) position is 80% teaching load (equivalent to 8 classes per academic year), 10% service, and 10% professional development (for required on-going practice-related activities to maintain a minimum of AACSB "Instructional Practitioner” status).

Work Location: Typically, on-site; position may be partially remote, based on the semester-to-semester need of the department, as determined with the supervisor.
This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
What We Offer:
Salary Range:
Instructor: $67,000 - $70,000 per academic year.
Senior Instructor: $77,000 - $80,000 per academic year.
In addition, the College of Business provides professional development funding.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

Tentative Search Timeline:
- Priority will be given to applications submitted by 5:00 pm Mountain Time on January 10, 2024 (Wednesday). However, this posting will remain open until filled.
- Application review is expected to begin after January 10, 2024.
- The potential dates for phone interviews with the search committee will be the week of February 5, 2024.
- The potential dates for in-person interviews with the supervisor and appointing authority will be March 7, March 13, and March 14, 2024.
- The potential employee start date is August 2024.

Minimum Qualifications:
Instructor:
- Completed MBA (with at least 18 graduate credit hours in accounting) OR a Master in Accounting degree.
- At least two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience in an accounting role within an organization.
Senior Instructor*:
- Completed MBA (with at least 18 graduate credit hours in accounting) OR a Master in Accounting degree.
- At least two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience in an accounting role within an organization.
- At least five (5) years of full-time teaching experience at the College level (full-time is defined as teaching at least 4 classes per academic year).
- Internal applicants are required to meet the College of Business (COB) standards for a Senior Instructor as outlined in the COB Promotion to Senior Instructor policy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Any amount of prior and relevant teaching experience.
- Degree(s) from an AACSB or similarly accredited institution.
- Ability or interest in teaching in a variety of formats including in person, hybrid and online classes.
- Any amount of relevant industry experience that includes current engagement in professional activities.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to move.
- Employee is occasionally required to have long periods of sitting, moderate bending, and fine motor skills.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
