Job Description
The Curry College School of Business & Computer Science invites applications for a one-year special appointment (visiting) full-time Assistant Professor of Finance position beginning Fall 2024. Candidates will be committed to excellence in teaching and research, with a passion for engaging with students, colleagues, and the business community. Successful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to developing and delivering cutting-edge, experiential curricula which prepare students for careers in finance. In addition, successful applicants should demonstrate the ability to engage in meaningful, high-quality research that shows synergies with the courses they teach as well as with the School of Business & Computer Science's mission. The Assistant Professor of Finance will join a dynamic and highly engaged team of faculty and staff, all of whom are dedicated to the professional success of our students.
The successful candidate will be learner-focused and will be expected to teach courses in one or more of the following areas: fintech, principles of finance, financial management, business finance, investment analysis, portfolio management, and possibly other business courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition, the successful candidate will be committed to experiential education and be able to apply experiential learning techniques in all courses taught. including developing collaborative relationships with external communities for experiential learning focused class projects, research projects, and other curricular activities. Interest and capability in developing a fintech program is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:
- The successful candidate must possess a Ph.D. or DBA in Finance. ABD will be considered with a completion date before August 31, 2024.
- Employment in this position is contingent upon the successful completion of all required pre-employment background checks and final budget approval.
