The American Diabetes Association is seeking a Research Coordinator who will work as a member of the Research Programs team supporting grant management operations and oversee department related activities. This person will report to the Managing Director, Research Programs. This is a full-time remote four-month temporary position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and streamline grant management processes.
- Update grant management external materials and templates to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee the coordination, logistics, and planning of Research Program related events and activities at ADA’s Scientific Sessions. Work closely with participating stakeholders including invitations, logistics (virtual and in-person) and other details.
- Monitor inquiries to the general inbox and communicate with grantees and their sponsored research teams.
- Oversee the planning and logistics for the ‘Spotlight the Science’ series.
- Creates and updates department standard operating procedures, as needed.
- Strong competencies in planning, project management, and organization with the ability to lead multiple activities and resources while maintaining a focus on quality.
- Ability to produce and present clear, concise, and professionally written communications and presentations for a diverse spectrum of audiences.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1- 2+ years of experience in project management
- Ability to meet deadlines, set priorities and demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail is a major requirement for consideration in this position.
- Ability to work in a team-focused work environment, as well as ability to work independently on assigned tasks
- Exceptional skills using technology are required, including Microsoft Office suite
- Strong copy editing and communication skills
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
Compensation Range: $22.00 - $27.00/hr DOE
