Sr Research Program Coordinator
Job Description
General summary/purpose:
The Department of Surgery is currently searching for an experienced Senior Research Program Coordinator who will primarily support the work of surgeon-scientists working in the field of lung transplantation.
Specific duties & responsibilities:
- Collaborate with research team on scientific implementation, daily operation, and data management of all research related activities
- Manage, support, coordinate and implement study specific tasks as required including recruitment, data collection, biospecimen shipping and tracking, regulatory submissions and site coordination and training for multi-center projects where JH serves as the bisopecimen core.
- Conduct study participant visits, including inpatient wards and outpatient clinics.
- Maintain study level documentation for assigned studies.
- Merge, create, and recode variables to prepare data for analyses.
- Prepare documents, annual reports, and amendments required by the IRB and FDA.
- Under the direction of surgeon principal investigators, determine patient study eligibility, obtain informed consent, and initiate patient randomization and enrollment.
- Act as a liaison for various studies with sponsors, study monitors, patients and their primary care providers.
- Participate in staff meetings to report on screening, recruitment, and data collection progress and resolve problems.
- Work under the direction of the Principal Investigators and Director of Clinical Trials to ensure successful completion of clinical research projects.
- May be required to travel to satellite locations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline
- Three years related experience
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula

Starting Salary Range: $41,300 - $72,300 Annually ($50,000 targeted; Commensurate with experience)
