Risk Management Administrator
Job Description
BioMed Realty is looking for a Risk Management Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support for our Risk Management department. In this role, you'll manage information systems, documentation, and administrative processes that support our organization's risk management objectives.
This position offers a hybrid work model, which includes 4 days in office and 1 day remotely. Hybrid work may be modified based on the needs of the company.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Information Management
- Maintain data in risk management information systems and update statement of values
- Assist with coordination of work requests and response to requests from all stakeholders
- Process and track insurance claims documentation
- Manage insurance policy records and endorsements
- Coordinate with brokers and Third-Party Administrators
- Maintain departmental records, and act as the department's record coordinator
2. Process Administration
- Prepare insurance underwriting applications
- Process claim notices and documentation
- Coordinate facility inspections
- Monitor insurance payments and premium refunds
- Audit insurance certificates for compliance with contract requirements
- Processes invoices and tracks expenses
3. Systems Management
- Administer risk management information systems
- Assist Integration team with acquisitions and divestitures\
- Maintain departmental intranet content
- Generate and distribute required reports
4. Administrative Support
- Coordinate meetings and department events
- Arrange business travel
- Process departmental documentation
- Support special projects and other duties as assigned
Job Specifications:
- 2-3 years' experience in information/data management; a Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Demonstrated experience in process administration
Preferred Qualifications:
- Insurance or risk management experience
- Project management experience
- Event planning experience
- Risk management software experience
Other:
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. The candidate must also be able to maintain regular and punctual attendance. The role requires frequent sitting at a desk and working on a computer, as well as frequent walking, using hands to type data, operating business machines, dialing the telephone, and reaching with hands and arms. Additionally, must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
Salary Range: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour + bonus + benefits
