As a Contract Administrator, you will be responsible for:
- Managing large performance improvement projects, including but not limited to standardization and cost reduction efforts, from the inception of strategic contracting to the completion of the project by working closely with clinicians, finance, biomed, logistics, consultants and others to ensure coordination and support for such projects.
- Negotiating terms and conditions for products and services and working closely with the Scripps legal department to review and rewrite vendor agreements as needed.
- Creating and maintaining standard supplier and service vendor contractual language.
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree, FIVE years or more of (i) progressive product sourcing and contract and vendor negotiating experience in a progressive and complex environment of a multi-hospital setting, or a large hospital or (ii) negotiating wide-range of commercial terms and conditions, drafting complex, multi-party contracts.
- Must have a thorough understanding of contracting methods and procedures, techniques of specification and contract writing, purchasing law, purchasing ethics and healthcare regulations.
- Must have experience in contract negotiations with vendors, suppliers and organizations, including price points, terms and conditions, leases and large performance improvement projects, including equipment.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related health care field.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Health Care Administration or related field.
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- Contracting and negotiating experience from vendor-side.
